Jazz and Modern Jazz instructor at Vital California from 1984 to 1994, based on teaching methods in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is home to several prestigious dance schools that offer comprehensive training in jazz and modern jazz. Notable among them is the JazzAntiqua Dance & Music Ensemble, founded by Pat Taylor in 1993. Taylor emphasizes the importance of jazz as a vital thread in African American history, integrating this perspective into her teaching philosophy. Her ensemble not only performs but also educates others about the significance of jazz dance.
