What kind of Tahiti dance classes does Dance with Lorenzo offer?
Dance with Lorenzo offers intermediate to advanced Tahiti dance classes to help you learn unique styles and techniques.
Do I need experience to join the class?
Yes! Experience is required. Our classes are available from intermediate to advanced levels, and we guarantee that everyone will learn from our only Tahiti master instructor.
What should I wear to my first Tahitian dance class?
Attire
Proper attire is crucial for comfort and adherence to the aesthetic of Tahitian dance.
Important Note: All clothing must be black, without visible brand names or dance school affiliations.
Vahine:
# Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Traditional pareo skirts are recommended but not required for your first class.
# Hair should be tied up
Tane (Men):
No Pareu required: A black short, or leggings is required.
Top: A comfortable and breathable black t-shirt or tank top is suitable.
Bottoms: Fitted black shorts or leggings can be worn underneath the pareu.
• • Footwear: Bare feet are preferred. If necessary, thin-soled dance shoes or foot thongs can be worn.

Jazz and Modern Jazz instructor at Vital California from 1984 to 1994, based on teaching methods in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is home to several prestigious dance schools that offer comprehensive training in jazz and modern jazz. Notable among them is the JazzAntiqua Dance & Music Ensemble, founded by Pat Taylor in 1993. Taylor emphasizes the importance of jazz as a vital thread in African American history, integrating this perspective into her teaching philosophy. Her ensemble not only performs but also educates others about the significance of jazz dance.
